The person behind The Maternity Plan...

So, who am I?

I'm here to change the way women experience maternity leave — from something overwhelming and uncertain to something structured, supported and thought through.

My goal is simple: to give you the clarity and tools you need so you're not left figuring it out on your own.

Maternity leave isn't something I learned from a textbook. It's something I've lived, and not always in the way I expected.

During my own experience, I faced antenatal depression and periods where I felt like I was drowning. I questioned myself constantly, felt unprepared for what was ahead, and at times even felt like I wasn't cut out to be the mum I wanted to be.

My return to work was just as difficult. It felt messy, unstructured and uncertain. I didn't feel ready, I didn't feel supported, and I didn't feel like I had a clear path forward.

At the same time, I was building my corporate career - with over 15 years working with organisations on people strategy and workplace transitions. I could see exactly how maternity leave was approached from the workplace side: the policies, the processes, and where things often didn't translate into real support for the women going through it.

That contrast stayed with me. On one side, I had lived the emotional and practical reality. On the other, I understood how organisations worked and where the gaps were.

That is what led me to create The Maternity Plan.

Because women are left navigating one of the biggest transitions of their lives without clear guidance, structure or support. You deserve to feel informed, prepared and supported — with a plan that works for your real life and your career.
